It feels bad now but it's gonna get better

Apparently anytime from May to September is the busy time for Page, AZ and Lake Powell.
When Anna and I rolled into Page on tuesday evening around 10 we thought we would simply get a hotel room for the night and then meet up with her parents at the marina in the morning. well 14 phone calls later we still had no place to sleep for the night. EVERY hotel was booked, except for the one with room for $140 a night. So not going to happen. So what did we do? Called a local bishop and asked if they knew of anywhere we could stay, of course! Bishop and Sister Jones were kind of enough to let us stay with them for the evening so we didn't have to sleep in Anna's car with the truckers. Personally, I was hoping we would get to experience that kind of adventure, but sleeping at the Bishop's was cool too.

The rest of Powell was great. The water was a little too chilly so we didn't do much swimming or tubing or wakeboarding. But there was a lot of kayaking and hiking around in random areas without shoes, which was not the best idea. Oh and making friends with the random critters in the stagnant water. P.S. that was NOT my favorite part.

Unfortunately I didn't really get pictures while we were at Powell. I looked hideous and figured no one would enjoy that, and when you have used a nice camera, taking pictures with your point and shoot isn't quite as fun anymore.
