This will probably not be surprising to most of you, but I LOVE music. So much.
I love to go to concerts and used to go to concerts all the time.
But I kind of stopped. And then something happened.
My friend Mills was on campus one day, just minding her own business
when she was approached by a man
who said something about how he knew this was weird, but he wasn't creepy, and he had 2 extra tickets to the Rooney concert. that night. Did she want to go?
Of course she said yes–as any sane person would–and started looking for another friend to join her on this adventure
Luckily I was close enough to the top of the list, and none of the people ahead of me could go.
So yes, I got to see Rooney (who I have loved ever since I found out this man was the lead singer so many years ago) in concert, for free.
It was AMAZING

They played at Kilby Court, which is essentially a shed in someones backyard. Super small. We weren't right in the front, but at Kilby you don't have to be in the front to have a good spot.
Also, Eisley opened for them, and turns out I really really like them as well. Fate.
Here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure...

Rooney
The man on the left is their new bass player and he was so precious. and real good on the bass.

Totally feeling it

This was a man standing next to us that was probably in his 40s and was there by himself and totally loving Rooney. He also had ear plugs in and would take them out to sing along to certain songs.

Oh, and in case you were wondering, the boys we went with were not weird and it actually turned out to be a fun evening. Turns out one of the guys is friends with a friend of mine from high school so we met up with her after the concert. All in all, it was a very successful evening.

As I was telling my roommate Emily yesterday
I FINALLY have figured out how to be an art student
It was hard and time consuming to figure it out, but I think I finally got it
I mostly understand what my teachers are asking for
and I am able to make up what I don't understand
It is a really great feeling
pictures of my super awesome projects to come

I have never wanted to buy a wedding dress as badly as I did when I saw THIS beauty
please disregard the fact that it is $2,600
I will definitely be drawing from that site for inspiration when I do start planning my wedding
(which is not going to be for a VERY long time)

--------------------------------------------------------------------

I am probably going to have an internship this summer
at the HBLL
which will help jumpstart my career as a librarian
what's that, you didn't know I wanted to be a librarian?
surprise!
and I am supposed to take the GRE this summer, so I can get into school to be a librarian
who even wants to get a masters anyway?

---------------------------------------------------------------------

I went to the cotton shop yesterday
thanks to my mom I could live in a fabric store
and never want to leave
especially if I had unlimited funds
I got some REALLY cute material for some presents I am planning on making
and some awesome green jewel things for super hot earrings

In honor of it looking like this

I'm probably not going to make it to my first class
I'm pretty sure other places would delay/cancel school for this kind of weather
as it is IMPOSSIBLE to function as a normal human outside of my house on a day like today
Remember when they let school out for a half day last Thanksgiving
for the "Storm of the Year"
and nothing happened?
and now it is too cold to breathe when I walk outside
and only wearing the hide of an animal would be enough to keep me warm
and I have to walk to school?

what's the deal BYU?
